After installing Exchange 2010 SP3 RU4, webmail and Active sync stopped working.
External access to our webmail page was impossible.
Turns out that the update had made some configuration changes for us, THANKS!!! not
The hardware load balancer in our environment does SSL offloading.
So the SSL options in IIS are turned off.
The RU4 update however thought it was a good idea to turn on SSL for the default web site on both CAS-HUB servers. Result, no way to get in to the webmail and get active sync to work.
Turn the SSL off and a few minutes later we were good to go.
Once again, spank you Microsoft for undocumented features and making my free sunday even shorter.
A well back to the last 2 servers that need to be updated, I got some errors in those too, so I think in about an hour or so there will be another rant from me.
